My personal opinion is that there is no problem with a bite that goes off and then corrects during the teething process but I will not breed a dog whose bite remains off.  I will, however, respect your own decision in that regard.
  • Spay/neuter and proof is mandatory.  Once proof is received I provide a $1500 companion price deduction from the purchase price and retain the balance as a credit towards a replacement.   It is your choice to either keep the puppy or sell him/her to a companion home in order to recuperate that companion price.  I have found this is best course of action because most owners want to keep their puppy or place them with someone they can stay in touCH with.
  • Then you can choose your new puppy from any of my available puppies.
  • I also am willing to sign off your puppy's registration if you wish to keep him/her for breeding but not until I have evaluated the bite at 15 months of age. As it is impossible to determine whether he/she will produce the incorrect bite in any offspring, I am unable to give advice on the appropriateness of this decision. If you do choose to keep him/her for breeding, any amount over a $3000 purchase price would be retained as a credit towards a new Char's Pomeranian puppy.
  • It is important to give a calcium/phosphorous supplement suCH as Osteo-form.
  • Have baby teeth pulled by 5 1/2 months of age.
  • Bones and chewies to keep the teeth healthy and strong.
  • In my experience and in discussion with a variety of handlers of Poms of varying bloodlines, I have determined that in the USA and Canada, Poms with an even bite or with 1-2 teeth out of alignment are capable of finishing their championships.  A bite is generally mature by 18 months of age.  A "show prospect" puppy that matures with an under bite or over bite may be replaced as per my "Show Prospect" guarantee.

All guarantees on bites are void if the puppy teeth have not been extracted by 5.5 months of age and a letter from the attending vet received by Char's Pomeranian Inc. before the puppy turns 6 months of age, stating that fact.
Another requisite of the guarantee is that NuVet Plus and a calcium/phosphorous supplement must be given. Proof may be required so ask for itemized receipts.

It is important to give your puppy a calcium/phosphorous balanced supplement suCH as Osteo-form. I give
Osteo-form to my puppies from the time they begin to eat from a dish until they are 9 months of age. I have
all baby teeth extracted by 5.5 months of age
    .

I do not guarantee a specific number of adult teeth. If a specific number of adult teeth are required in your
country, please ask me to count the teeth before purchasing the puppy. The number of puppy teeth is a good
indication of the eventual number of adult teeth but is not always accurate.

If a puppy is purchased and being kept by Char's Pomeranian Inc. for preparation to export, and does not ship before 5.5 months of age, the cost of puppy teeth extractions is the buyers' responsibility and
reimbursement to Char's Pomeranian Inc.  for this cost must be provided before 5.5  months of age or the guarantee on the bite is void. Char's Pomeranian Inc. will schedule the puppy teeth extractions with a qualified veterinarian. If the buyer chooses to wait past the age of 5.5 months to have all remaining baby teeth extracted, then the guarantee on the bite is void.

In the Pomeranian breed, bites can sometimes go off during the teething stage and then correct.
      If the
bite does not correct, I am happy to replace the puppy.
I do not make final judgment on a bite until 15
        months of age.
I have seen bites correct up until that age so it is worth waiting for.

Should the bite not correct this is the process that is required to receive a replacement puppy.
